  • SM: WAILA

Income Utility (v2)

Income Utility v2 is the second, more fleshed-out iteration of the original Income Utility program I used to track my paydays and predict the next one. The latter was something I did because back then I worked at a place where the payday wasn't fixed, but rather fell into a fixed time period.

The original Income Utility had rudimentary payday tracking, the payday predictor which could hardly be called a predictor (it showed the average day), but worked fine for my uses. Income Utility v2 is a far larger program - it combines multiple so-called sub-utilities for various aspects of personal finance management.

Notable sub-utilities are "Money In, Money Out", which is the central transaction tracker, "Fiscal Breakdown", the analysis and overview tool working on the data from "Money In, Money Out", and "Pricer", a tool for meal planning (more specifically calculating meal costs and other similar things).

SM: WAILA

SMWAILA or SM: WAILA, depending on however I decide to spell it, is the Scrap Mechanic equivalent of the famous WAILA (What Am I Looking At) mod for Minecraft.

WAILA's point is to show relevant information about the currently looked-at object - in Minecraft this is useful when playing a modded version of the game, as having a lot of mods means you tend to have a ton of custom blocks you don't recognize.
The same applies to Scrap Mechanic, as the game also supports mods, however it also shows various information about vanilla objects, as many of them hide useful information behind a GUI.
